Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga — Is It On Today?

Sarvartha Siddhi — the weekday–nakshatra combination said to accomplish every purpose.

Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga means “accomplishing every purpose”. It occurs when a weekday coincides with any nakshatra from its traditionally assigned group. As the most frequent auspicious pairing, it appears several times a month and provides a practical option when an event cannot wait for a rarer window.

Not in force now

No. Sarvartha Siddhi is not running right now.

The weekday table

Each weekday has its own group of stars. Sunday takes Ashwini, Pushya, Uttara Phalguni, Hasta, Mula, Uttara Ashadha and Uttara Bhadrapada; Monday takes Rohini, Mrigashira, Pushya, Anuradha and Shravana; Tuesday takes Ashwini, Krittika, Ashlesha and Uttara Bhadrapada; Wednesday takes Krittika, Rohini, Mrigashira, Hasta and Anuradha; Thursday takes Ashwini, Punarvasu, Pushya, Anuradha and Revati; Friday takes Ashwini, Punarvasu, Anuradha, Shravana and Revati; and Saturday takes Rohini, Swati and Shravana. What it is used for

Sarvartha Siddhi is used for general activities such as buying, signing, travelling, opening a business, beginning a course of study, taking up a new role and moving house. Because it is relatively common, an almanac-keeper may use it to find a sound date within a fixed period of a few weeks.

How it relates to the other yogas

Each weekday’s Amrit Siddhi star also belongs to its Sarvartha Siddhi group. This means every Amrit Siddhi day is also a Sarvartha Siddhi day, and Guru Pushya or Ravi Pushya days carry both yogas. The reverse does not apply: most Sarvartha Siddhi days carry only that yoga. A day is considered stronger when several occur together.

Two stars in one day

A weekday can have two qualifying nakshatras in succession. Sunday, for example, includes both Uttara Phalguni and Hasta, which follow one another in the sky. When this happens, the windows join and the yoga lasts for the full Vedic day from sunrise to sunrise. The panel above combines them into the single continuous period shown in an almanac.

FAQ

What is Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga?

It is the combination of a weekday with any nakshatra from the set assigned to that weekday. The name means “accomplishing every purpose”, and the window is treated as broadly auspicious.

How often does Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga occur?

Several times a month — commonly six to ten days in a month carry it, sometimes for the whole day and sometimes for a few hours.

What is the difference between Sarvartha Siddhi and Amrit Siddhi?

Amrit Siddhi pairs each weekday with exactly one star and is the rarer, stronger of the two. Sarvartha Siddhi admits several stars per weekday, so it comes round far more often. Every Amrit Siddhi day is also a Sarvartha Siddhi day.

Can Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga be used for a wedding?

A marriage muhurat needs both partners’ charts, not a general day-quality rule, so this yoga is a supporting factor rather than the deciding one.
