Tarot foundations

A two-lesson orientation: the 78-card deck, then a three-card spread. Reflection, not fortune-telling.

A tarot deck is a set of 78 picture cards, and a tarot reading is really an act of storytelling: you lay cards into a pattern — a spread — and read the images in the order the pattern gives them.

This short track teaches the two things everything else builds on. First the structure of the deck: the Major and Minor Arcana, the four suits, and the court cards. Then how a spread works — how the position a card lands in shapes what it means — using the classic three-card spread.

New terms are underlined — hover for a quick definition. And a note up front: we teach tarot as a tool for reflection and self-understanding, a way of looking at a situation from a new angle — not as a method for predicting fixed events or making decisions for you.
