Two charts can disagree without either calculator being broken. A recorded time may be approximate, a historical daylight-saving rule may be wrong, or two sites may be applying different—but internally consistent—zodiacs, ayanamshas, house systems, node definitions, or rounding rules.

This course teaches a reproducible way through that confusion: preserve the source record, identify the civil-time conversion, name every method choice, change one variable at a time, and test whether a conclusion survives the reasonable alternatives.

Outcome: identify which inputs and settings change a chart, compare two outputs methodically, and communicate uncertainty before interpreting a difference.

Syllabus: five lessons in order, about 57 minutes total. Beginner level, in English. You will work only with labelled synthetic records; you do not need to share anyone's birth data.

  1. Why birth time matters
  2. Sidereal, tropical, and ayanamsha
  3. House systems and bhava boundaries
  4. Why sites show different charts
  5. Build an error budget for a reading

The goal is not to manufacture perfect certainty. It is to leave an audit trail that another reader can inspect.

Syllabus

  1. 1Why birth time mattersTurn a local birth record into an auditable chart instant, then test what a time range can and cannot change.12 min read
  2. 2Sidereal, tropical, and ayanamshaCompare tropical and sidereal longitudes without treating a named coordinate convention as a correction or a verdict.11 min read
  3. 3House systems and bhava boundariesHold the sky position steady while comparing how house and bhava methods assign a placement to a life area.11 min read
  4. 4Why sites show different chartsTrace a disagreement through inputs, time conversion, astronomy, conventions, and display by changing one variable at a time.12 min read
  5. 5Build an error budget for a readingTurn known input ranges and method branches into robust, conditional, or unresolved chart statements before interpreting.11 min read
