Guna Milan — the eight-fold match
The Ashtakoot score is computed from both partners’ Moon nakshatras and signs. It is the first thing a family asks about, and it is a property of the couple, not of a date so no date-and-place search can produce it.
Tarabala and Chandrabala, twice
A wedding day has to be favourable for the bride and for the groom. Each day’s Moon-nakshatra is counted from each partner’s own Janma nakshatra, and the transiting Moon is weighed against each partner’s Janma rashi. A day that is strong for one and weak for the other is not a wedding day.
The classical vivah screens
The tradition names its own preferred nakshatras for marriage (Rohini, Mrigashira, Magha, Uttara Phalguni, Hasta, Swati, Anuradha, Mula, Uttara Ashadha, Uttara Bhadrapada and Revati) and its own tithi rules, with the Rikta tithis, Amavasya and several others set aside. These are screens on top of the general day-quality rules, not a replacement for them.
Bhadra, Panchak and Adhik Maas
Bhadra (the Vishti karana) and Panchak are excluded outright, and an Adhik Maas — the intercalary thirteenth lunar month — takes whole stretches of the calendar off the table, as do the Chaturmas months and the periods when Venus or Jupiter is combust. The usable windows in a given year are far narrower than a general finder would suggest.
నివేదికలో ఏమి చేర్చబడుతుంది
- The Ashtakoot (guna milan) score for the couple, with each of the eight kootas broken out.
- Every candidate date in your range screened against the classical vivah nakshatra and tithi rules.
- Tarabala and Chandrabala computed separately for both partners, so a day has to suit them both.
- Bhadra, Panchak, Adhik Maas, Chaturmas and the Venus/Jupiter combustion periods excluded, with the reason stated for each date that drops out.
- The lagna (rising sign) refinement that fixes the exact hour within the chosen day, not just the day itself.
- A plain-language explanation of why each surviving date ranks where it does — the same computed reasoning, no AI writing.

ఈలోపు ఏం వాడాలి
- The free compatibility check (Ashtakoot / guna milan) — the eight-fold score for the couple, which most families settle before looking at dates at all.
- The Personalised Muhurat Report — the single-chart sibling of this report, for a housewarming, a property purchase, a vehicle, a naming or a tonsure.
- The free Muhurat Finder — for every other kind of beginning, ranked by the panchang alone.
- The Panchak and Bhadra pages — the two exclusions any wedding date has to clear, live for today and the period ahead.
తరచుగా అడిగే ప్రశ్నలు
Why can’t I find a marriage muhurat with the free finder?
Because a wedding date depends on both partners’ birth charts — guna milan, and Tarabala and Chandrabala for each of them. The free finder deliberately takes only a place and a date range and collects no birth details, so it cannot answer the question. Offering a marriage option there would be pretending otherwise.
What is guna milan and do I need it before choosing a date?
Guna milan (Ashtakoot) is the eight-fold compatibility score computed from both partners’ Moon positions. It answers whether the match is well-suited; the muhurat answers when to hold the wedding. Families usually settle the first before working on the second, and our free compatibility check will give you the score today.
When will the Vivah Muhurat report be available?
It is in build and not yet on sale. This page carries no price and no checkout because there is nothing to buy yet — when the report launches, this page becomes its home.
Can I use the Personalised Muhurat Report for a wedding instead?
No. That report narrows the auspicious days to one person’s chart, which is right for a housewarming or a vehicle but not for a marriage — a wedding needs both charts weighed together. It covers housewarming, property, vehicle, naming, tonsure and general auspicious work.
